Goodbye Segment 1; Hello Segment 2

We arrive in Sydney. Australia on Saturday, February 8th (that's Friday, February 7th Florida time).  That will mark the end of the first 34 day segment of our world cruise.  We understand that about 173 passengers will disembark in Sydney and about 170 new passengers will come aboard.  We will be sad to see many of our new friends leave the ship, but look forward to meeting the new people that will coming aboard.

We will also be sad to see some of the entertainment staff leave at Sydney.  Some of the singers and dancers will leave the Sojourn to go aboard a Holland America ship.  In return, entertainers from that ship will join us.  We will miss these energetic, talented young people from Ireland, Scotland, Ukraine and the U.S. who have not only entertained us during this first segment of our cruise, but have also hung out with us a lot and intrigued us with their adventurous spirit.

When we get to Sydney, we will be met by family members, Bryan and Kim, who have graciously invited us to tour Sydney with them and stay with them overnight at their home.  We are looking forward to spending time with them and learning about their Aussie lifestyle.
